Pink petals float

gently into mama gaia

defying gravity–

becoming a part her cycle.

Gentle water trickles

past pebbles and moss

to join something unending–

becoming air, water, and earth.

Fruitful trees planted

on sweet mother earth,

aged in love–

becoming our life source.

Earth burns vigorously

and we breathe it’s ashes

unaware of her cries–

a crisis became of her.

Oceans filled with plastic,

fishes search for new homes

grieving their extinction–

we have taken from her.

Gaia is working

to heal the damage

she heals, we explore, we take–

stripping life from her.

Mama Gaia is scared. We should protect her. She is strong, precious, vigorous, fragile, loving, and eccentric. Let us learn to take care of her the way she has for us. Learn to cherish the prana she gives us. Allow it to fill your lungs and cascade them with life. Express gratitude to her as if your words are food. Nourish her.
