See this skin.

Watch it.

As beauty from within

Radiates through it.

Skin so dark

Some think its cursed

with rude remarks

Yet some think worse

Of this skin

That makes a statement

Of where its been

Due to racial treatment.

After a childhood of self hate, I have grown to embrace my ethnicity and all the stigma that comes with it. I believe in a future that different ethnicity and skin colour isn’t a reason for negative treatment. In fact, it should be something that is appreciated and embraced. Being culturally different is not a disadvantage, but something that makes you stand out. Love you skin, eyes, language, and culture.

Love yourself.
